Dialudid/hydromorphone (Dilaudid is a brand name) is indeed stronger in terms of Morphine Milligram Equivalents, one of the reasons is cause it crosses the blood brain barrier readily so it also works faster. They’re really similar molecules, there’s only a difference in like one hydroxyl group but that’s enough, some people who are allergic to morphine can have hydromorphone without any issues.

And yes the comparison using burgers is ridiculous but I bet it’s effective in communicating it’s strength to your standard American lol

oh i know the comparison is accurate as i was a severe pillhead 15 years ago (couldn’t tell the difference between it and oxy and i preferred straight morphine anyway)

i meant is this an actual fucking graphic existing somewhere in some doctors office in ‘flyover country’? cuz if so it’s legendary and needs to be preserved in the library of congress as an important cultural work

Huh. That explains my allergy to it. Dilaudid made me trip balls (along with several other pain killers) so I ended up on morphine because of that. Oddly my sister is allergic to morphine but can have everything else.
