People are clear that any advocacy for a change in policy on Harris’ part means you want Trump to win and are a maga chud.

No, blind loyalty is the order of the day, particularly here on lemmy.

People are clear that advocating for change should come after Trump is defeated at the polls.

In this election the choice is “would you like your eggs sunny side up or thrown in the dumpster?” Plenty of time after the results are in to say “actually, I prefer mine scrambled.”

No. They just want silence. There will be a new excuse after the election.

Ok. If you do want them changed, I expect to see you being vocal about genocide after the election.

            In opposition.

My friend (please note that this is rhetorical. We are not friends. I have your tagged, I know who you are, and I know I’m likely wasting my time here), I’ve been opposed to this genocide from the start, and I will continue to be opposed to it regardless of what US administration is enabling it.

One of the many reasons I’m voting for Harris over Trump is because I care about the lives of Palestinians and am willing to be pragmatic about which of the two possible outcomes would be worse (far, far worse).

It’s easy to just not vote, and then wash your hands of it when Trump wins and gives Netanyahu carte blanche to eliminate the Palestinian people. But that will not absolve you, as your inaction will have led to countless additional Palestinian death and suffering.

It is true that we are not friends. You assume I must be a trumper based only on the fact that I think Harris should stop supporting genocide.

I have your tagged, I know who you are

Ooh! do you possess a very particular set of skills? Imagine bragging about leaving a fucking post-it note.

I’ve been opposed to this genocide from the start, and I will continue to be opposed to it regardless of what US administration is enabling it.

By calling people trumpers if they think Harris should change course.

It’s easy to just not vote, and then wash your hands of it when Trump wins and gives Netanyahu carte blanche to eliminate the Palestinian people. But that will not absolve you, as your inaction will have led to countless additional Palestinian death and suffering.

What are you talking about? I voted for Harris two days ago. She should still turn away from Netanyahu’s genocidal regime. So should you, but you never will.
