This seems about right considering one of the US political parties is telling everyone daily, on every medium, that the US is under threat. Rhetoric to some, reality to others.

What’s it called when people use the threat of violence and intimidation to push a political agenda?

Why is everyone afraid to call a terrorist a terrorist?

Hey, man, that guy is not nearly brown enough to be a terrorist. We call the white ones “lone wolves”.

/s, but like also, sadly not really /s

You might need a dictionary there. This is exactly what terrorism is. It’s not just driving planes in towers.

This is like people who don’t consider white people immigrants, they’re “expats”. If your contry is invaded and you fight back, you might be called a terrorist but you won’t be one, unless of course you terrorise the population and use fear instead of attacking military targets.

This isn’t a debate of falsely labeling something as terrorism for disinformation. It doesn’t matter who is right in terrorism.

The difference between a terrorist and a rebel is their targets. This kid attacked innocent civilians to scare them away from voting. That’s terrorism. Violence in resistance to oppression should be directed at the oppressors.

Williams was accompanied by seven other male teens, ages 16 and 17, who police said went to the Beaches Branch Library “to protest and antagonize the opposing political side.”

Oh great, this was a whole group and they let the others go

We’re going to see much more of this in the coming days. At least one shooting at a poll place will undoubtedly happen, and more than likely an actual shootout old-west style where multiple people show up armed and it escalates.

I’m not just guessing – this is based on what people have actually said. Some idiots have proudly proclaimed they’ll go to the polls armed and sound to be spoiling for a confrontation.

I hope nobody is actually killed, but I won’t be surprised. This election is already hotter than I’ve ever seen, with bomb threats, election offices being shot at, drop boxes set on fire, etc, and it’ll only get worse. The fascists are itching for bloodshed.

He looks so sad. Yet, was happy and smiling when brandishing that machete. I’m sure he’ll something to smile about in jail.

Another guy going to jail for Trump. He’s hopefully about to learn the Tate/Peterson/Trump bro immunity doesn’t apply to him.

And why did no one man the fuck up and beat the snot out of him and his friends? This isn’t a pearl-clutching, “call the violent authorities” issue. This is a “beat the fuck out of them on sight” issue.
