Asking for a friend? It’s tough out here. No face shots.

If I thought I would actually make money? Sure. But most people that do OF aren’t really making more than pocket change.

I don’t think most people would be interested in paying for first-person shooting competition video–although maybe they would if I had the $8k or so for a VR camera so that it could be immersive–and most people don’t have a huge interest in rope tops. So, eh.

If I was very desperate and my current job no longer sufficed, sure I’d hop on OnlyFans or FeetFinder and give it a go. The problem I have is more one of laziness. I like showing off my body, and spend a good amount of time cultivating parts like my ass and thighs to look attractive. The limiting factor is that I don’t have anyone to hold a camera. It’s a lot of fun to model, it’s a lot less fun to setup a camera/mic, create a scene, and actually take 30-40 pictures/30 sec vid clips. If I had to do it for survival, I could, but I prefer just sending simple thirst traps to fwb.

If you don’t enjoy it as a hobby, you won’t enjoy it as a business.

Do you enjoy taking nudes for fun? Go for it. If not, OF would be the worst “job” you’ve ever had, being just below roaming in train tracks looking for pennies.

      Benefits

Health benefits, parental leave, paid time off, holiday overtime, employee discounts, and more.

It’s insane that those things have to be listed in a so-called developed country (except employee discounts, that’s an actual benefit)

I have a very liberated sexuality, girls, boys, sometimes among consenting strangers. OF could be a logical extension if I needed money.

However , two things stand in the way: first, I have a job that gives me social recognition and financial stability, and it wouldn’t be compatible with the social stigma of sex work.

The other problem is all the work that goes into OF, like on YT channels ot Twitch: communicating on social networks, managing a community, editing, finding collaborations. I don’t know how to do it and I don’t think I’d like it.

Only the top percentage make good money. Doubt it will earn more than a minimum wage job unless you do some weird fetish.

The percentage seems to be padded out by inactive accounts or something, even the worst only fans profiles I’ve seen are showing ‘top 1%’ banners

Many of the inactive accounts will be people who signed up and started, but made no or too little money, so abandoned the idea. They’re still worth counting when working out how likely a new person will be to make money. Other inactive accounts will be bots or catfish where there was never any intention to make money the way people expect the site to be used, so you can still discount a lot of them, but it’s not all of them.

Selling yourself is not an easy job. If you can, then sure, go for it. But for each person making thousands there are thousands of people making pennies.

Well the bigger question is, would you buy it? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Jokes aside… Not attractive enough. Even if I’m attractive, OF creators are quite competitive as it’s kind of a “winner takes all” market. So probably not worth it… Besides, for conventionally attractive people shouldn’t there be easier ways to make money off looks? For example landing a modeling gig that has a more steady pay or something like that
