NFS Most Wanted Black Edition (PC): Can’t Seem to Get any Pink Slips, Am I Just Unlucky?

I’ve been playing this old game for a bit and I’ve beaten 4 blacklist members already. I’ve missed getting the pink slips each time which is 1 out of 3 every time or 1/81 in total.

What’s wrong?

    Earl is the worst for this.

    I just finished Earl. Either the AI for catchup for Earl is egregious as you’ve said or the tail end of the race is mostly cornering and I’m just bad at it. I had to restart like 4 times.
