First of all, Welcome! I’m genuinely glad you decided to join!

That said,

Swearing on Lemmy is actually mandatory and any posts found not containing any swearwords will be promptly removed and you will be permanently banned. These communities strive to reverse the damage done by algorithmically induced self censorship by requiring all participants to swear as much as possible.

Also, anyone censoring non swearwords like “dead” or “sex” that traditionally incur negative algorithmic interactions will also be sacked in addition to previously listed repercussions.

Thank you.

Fuck.

General note for spoilers: ACTUALLY MENTION WHAT IT IS YOU ARE CONCEALING. State which season, which movie, which franchise, SOMETHING. Don’t make me have to peek at the spoiler to determine whether or not it is something I have seen already, or if it is appropriate to view in my current setting.

it’s explained in book 6 and 7 of Harry Potter that Dumbledore lives a lonely life where he kills what he loves and enriches the lives of those he sees as lesser. His story is akin to Harrison Bergeron, but far less sympathetic as he was a gay nazi in the 40s

        Shit

Hmm. We need a NSFW content format that is like spoiler text but like for NSFW stuff in a SFW thread?

Nah I don’t know I dont like that either

Here’s an example. Make sure the image link is within the spoiler content before the second set of 3 colons.

        this spoiler contains an image
