It’s always a non-story when authorities cross boundaries with one of their subjects. They wouldn’t be in positions of power if we didn’t already believe that their violence was justified as a culture.

Meanwhile, I remember a few months ago… I believe it was Abbot, a constituent came and ‘clapped him on the back’ or some stupid harmless contact and they charged them with assault

This means the dude who clapped Rudy on the back would be a criminal too, so I’m betting this is just you reaching and not anything that would hold up in court.

Don’t be like trump voters. Be a normal person.

Our legal system is smart enough to understand the difference in intent in these two actions, even if our populace is not.

What intent exactly do you think is happening here? You think that hand on the shoulder was trying to harm her?

The populace is who judges cases, so idk how you think this works exactly.

Also the poster you’re replying to is claiming this should be a crime, which they are only saying because they dislike the representative involved, so perhaps the public isnt as correct as we’d like to think.

Nowhere in that video is there anything approaching battery. At the time of the “shoulder touch” no one is even angry. That happens after.

Pushing someone isn’t a clap on the back. Stop defending abusers. Be a decent person.

There is a 0% chance you watched the video if you made this comment.

You literally spent more time googling “battery” than you did reading the link.
