Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed a co-founder of Moms for Liberty, a ā€œparental rightsā€ group that has sought to take over school boards in multiple states, to the Florida Commission on Ethics on Wednesday.

Tina Descovich was named to the nine-member, Tallahassee-based commission, which investigates alleged breaches of public trust by elected and appointed officials, as well as state employees.

The groupā€™s support for school choice and the ā€œfundamental rights of parentsā€ to direct their childrenā€™s education has also drawn allies such as the conservative Heritage Foundation.

Moms for Liberty has been labeled an ā€œextremistā€ organization by the Southern Poverty Law Center for allegedly harassing community members, advancing anti-LGBTQ+ misinformation and fighting to scrub diverse and inclusive material from lesson plans.

Iā€™ll never listen to someone who unironically tells me to ā€œfall in lineā€. You have absolutely no clue how to talk to the audience youā€™re supposedly addressing.

Alsoā€¦ lol @ blaming this shit on green party voters when you neolib moderates canā€™t even get 50% of your own base to vote consistently. Maybe instead of constantly blaming everyone else for your failures you should look in the damn mirror for once. Try funding your local party orgs instead of abandoning them. Stop blindly supporting the establishment leaders who repeatedly fail to invest in local winning strategies because theyā€™re only interested in keeping themselves in power.

You wonā€™t do any of that though. Itā€™s so much easier to blame leftists every time you lose to a Republican. Youā€™ll never take responsibility for your own failures as a party and thatā€™s why weā€™ve gotten to the point we have today.

Youā€™ve been totally outplayed by Republicans on the ground and all the bitching and moaning about leftists in the world will never change that.

Third parties had abysmal vote counts in the last two elections. You would think terrible candidates would improve third party turnout, but no, it just makes more people vote for their lesser of evils.

Idiot. I vote for Democrats in every election. I never said I vote for the green party.

Every election itā€™s the same story. Democratic GOTV efforts are next to non-existent and then when you lose by 1% you blame the fucking green party members, who will never vote for you, and leftists for costing you the election.

You donā€™t try to fund your local parties. You donā€™t try to organize GOTV at a meaningful level. You donā€™t try to understand why people arenā€™t motivated by Democrats. The scale of the GOPs ground operations is orders of magnitude better funded, better led, and more energized than Democrats.

But you just fall for this stupid intentionally divisive bullshit about leftists supposedly not voting while your national party leaders raid the coffers for their own reelections and pet projects. Then wonder why elections against the fascists are so close.

Itā€™s not because leftists arenā€™t voting for you. Itā€™s not because voters are stupid. Itā€™s because Democratic messaging and outreach are SHIT and they donā€™t even understand their own voters.

I mean, that, and there are people like me who voted for them for years for reproductive rights reasons. If you canā€™t even get a right to birth control codified in the 20 years Iā€™ve been voting, you arenā€™t effective enough to run the country. Thing is, itā€™s a candidateā€™s job to excite voters, and a partyā€™s job to get them to the polls. The only duty a voter has is to vote. Besides, if the Dems actually gave a shit about the left voting for them, their policy would probably not be alienating leftist voters by blaming them every time the Dems fail.
