I am not in the UAW, just showing solidarity. What should my sign look like? Should I bring a sign at all? Are the pigs a concern? Should I bring something to counter tear gas? Anything else I should expect?

edit i cant go comrades for personal reasons. i am super bummed cause i was super excited and this was my only window.

From what I’ve seen preparing for a confrontation with the police isn’t a concern, but I have seen locals calling for people to bring bottled water and food.

I wouldn’t worry about tear-gas, tbh, but they might hand you a sign. If not, just walk with them, add your numbers to theirs, and chant with them.

Also, go masked so no one can identify you.

Also, a good idea: bring zines or pamphlets, if you have any, to hand out.

    Zines in particular.

They’re often used in protests and counter-culture and the labor movement, especially during the 70s/80s, and are making a comeback in recent years.
