I saw the second interview between Piers and Bassem Yousef and when Bassem asked if the government should destroy the empire state building if it had terrorists inside and Piers was like “Well that’s the question isn’t it”

Israel has literally driven people to insanity.

Also apparently an Israeli politician has already said that they can’t fear for the hostages and disregard their soldiers’ lives.

That is wild, for a conflict that doesn’t have a direct impact on average Americans I am surprised how far some supporters of Israel will admit they will go. This almost seems like a conflict that people could fight over in the US, from the seriousness I’ve seen people talk about it, even if all major politicians of both parties support Israel. There is just such extreme propaganda pushing the Israeli position, and people opposed to Israel have been seeing endless murder for decades (paid for in part by US taxes) and desperately want to end it.

It was on the first or second day after Oct 7th that I saw an IDF spokesperson saying “the hostages are already killed, Hamas had no intention of releasing them.” This was a clear signal they were not even going to try to save them. And then later when it comes out that someone like the German-Israeli woman at the music festival was killed, people will be like “oh Hamas how could you!” When it was likely she was killed by IDF bombing.

Well that’s just an admission that soldier lives are more valuable than civilian lives. Not surprising coming from the only faction in this conflict actually confirmed to use human shields with evidence.
