I’ve noticed a lot of posts asking how we’re going to vote, and people coming in trying to shame people for not voting for Biden, or any candidate in the general election at all.
So I’m curious and, asking in good faith, want to know - what will make you stop voting for Biden?
I can excuse genocide, but if he decides to support Medicare for All, that’s where I draw the line
Anyone voting for Biden at this point would vote for Biden no matter what. He could walk into their home, eat their firstborn, and screech BUILD BACK BETTER and they’d fucking clap.

If you don’t vote for Hitler then Turbo-Hitler will win.
The existence of a Turbo Hitler means that there is a Turbo Stalin out there
Turbo-stalin’s spoon was too big and he collapsed in to a point singularity with the equivalent of 53,000 solar masses.
:butterfly-guy:
is this dialectics
im votin for that guy
Basically what every lib response made in this thread is at it’s core
Unironically yeah.
I will be voting for John Kerry

I’m voting for
I wonder what would happen to the standard lib brain if you told them you weren’t voting for Biden because you intend to write-in Hillary.
“I will not vote for Biden.”
“NOT VOTING IS A VOTE FOR TR-“
“I’m still with her.”
“???”
Even funnier tell them you’re voting for Jill stein and tell them it’s her turn
i’m with her

I know. It’s just been feeling like a lot of bad faith people coming in to vote shame and I wanted to know if they had a line for an acceptable president.
I’m voting for pigpoopballs
don’t worry they all came in here to get dunked on anyway
I would vote for Biden even if he personally bit my dog. Because I’m an American, and it’s an investment in democracy 🦅
I’m voting for both Trump and Biden, no one can yell at me
I’m seriously gonna write in @Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net and you should too
No don’t, I would be a terrible politician
So you’re saying if you were president of the US, you’d do a bad job? Go on…
I’d immediately get disappeared for loudly establishing communism and taking big ol’ shit on the Constitution
Yeah. You wouldn’t get disappeared for that. Would be the first US president to have their secret service detail dome them with a 9mm service pistol on stage in front of all the cameras. Congress will undoubtedly immediately give whichever secret service agent a medal of honor or something and the next president will give them a full pardon.
Yea why can’t we have nice things?
that’s bad opsec
Maybe I should write in President Parrot instead?
that’s also bad opsec now that you’ve said it. just write in whatever, don’t tell anyone. actually do tell everyone, but something entirely different
I will be voting for Joe Biden because I’m in Australia and it’s a local city council election and I think it’s pretty funny.
here we fucking gooooo!
Nothing can stop me from writing in Hunter Biden.
If he don’t put in cornpop as his VP.
Daily reminder that out of all post-WWII GOP presidents, Trump isn’t the worst one and is rather run-of-the-mill. From bad to ghoul in human form, it’s Ford < Ike/Bush Sr < Trump/Nixon < Reagan < Dubya. On the other hand, Biden is horrible as a Democrat. Post-FDR Democrat presidents from bad to ghoul, it’s JFK << Carter < LBJ/Clinton/Obama < Biden < Truman. Combining the two would be like JFK << Ford/Carter < LBJ/Clinton/Obama/Ike/Bush Sr < Biden/Trump/Nixon < Truman/Reagan < Dubya.
Just curious: not that it matters, they’re all ghouls, but what makes you put JFK so high, above Carter? JFK presided over the early stages of the Vietnam War and almost ended the world in the Cuban Missile Crisis. Also Bay of Pigs and other examples. He was one of the most rabid anti-communists in the whole Cold War.
I give JFK very critical support for at least trying to rein in the national security state which no other president before and since tried. It’s the same reason why Truman is such an underrated ghoul (oversaw the creation of the CIA, gave the Dulles bros free rein over national security, nuked two cities, oversaw the genocide of Koreans). I don’t see JFK as more of a Cold War warrior than Truman, Ike, LBJ, or Reagan. Nixon, Ford, Carter, and I guess Bush Sr were less of a Cold War warrior than him.
As for Carter, neoliberalism began under Carter’s watch even if Reagan made things much worse. Carter was also the beginning of Democrats trying to appeal to centrists and “be pragmatic,” which was cemented as party dogma by Clinton.
