    Imagine the many scientists coming across a picture of Lenin when searching for an article. This would make them at least curious about it. This is a simple, but effective political propaganda, if you think about the sheer number of scientists which use this resource.

    Anyone knows how sci-hub gains access to all these articles? Do volunteers with access upload the research to them? Or do they bypass the authorization process of paywalled sites?

      I tried to contact her to share papers I have individually that are not available on Sci-Hub, but I haven’t received an answer yet. Some capitalist academic publishing companies have contracts with universities allowing its students to use proxies to access paid articles. I believe she uses these proxies to give access to some articles

    I’ve seen more than one paper or science textbook (at least in the biosciences) that started off with Marx’s “There is no royal road to science…” quote out of Capital vol 1.
