Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., vowed to keep the legislative body in session until a bill that raises the debit ceiling can be sent to President Joe Biden's desk.
I believe the student loan forgiveness is on hold while the supreme court reviews some challenges to it… However, in the debt limit bill i believe one of the concessions Biden allowed was that he would not continue the payment pause on those loans. So once this current pause expires, payments will resume. Heres hoping the supreme court doesn’t rule against Biden on the forgiveness but I’m not going to hold my breath.
