The time has come and we’re moving the lemmy service to our own hosting! Expect outages in the next 24 hours.
Big thanks to the lemmy devs for hosting this service for the first year! It made it a lot easier for us to get started.
We are back… that took about 4 hours as I’ve never setup lemmy before and ran into a few strange errors.

when you did this upgrade, did you expect to be part of the revolution?
The devs offered to run an instance for us a year ago, as a service it grew on us and only recently have people started showing more interest in it.

For the first year yes, they wanted to promote lemmy and we were curious about it.
We now have custody of it and need to keep maintaining it. :)
