In a tense game of chicken, remarkable for its mix of petulance and audacity, congressional Republicans are threatening to halt U.S. aid to Ukraineā€”guaranteeing a Russian breakthrough and possible victory in that warā€”unless Democrats help pass a bill that all but locks down Americaā€™s Southern border.

If the impasse isnā€™t resolved by the end of next week, when Congress goes on recess until the new year, the Ukrainian army could run out of ammunition. President Joe Biden could resupply the arsenal from U.S. stockpiles without legislative approval, but the move would be temporary, and the signal sentā€”that Ukraine, and by implication other allies, can no longer count on U.S. support in a pinchā€”could be a holiday cork-popper for Russian President Vladimir Putin and all of our other adversaries.

Youā€™re right about the multitasking. Thanks for caring about my wellbeing. Reciprocally, if youā€™re having to do math to make me look bad, Iā€™m not your problem.

Iā€™m sorry you find math so laborious, however I donā€™t have to do math to make you look any certain way when you do so well on your own. Iā€™m just setting the stage for you

Nothing is compelling you to tell someone you donā€™t like them; you are making that choice yourself. Just breathe. Itā€™ll be okay.

          ā€œdonā€™t likeā€

šŸ˜‚ Buddy, I find you delightfully entertaining, your lack of perspective and inability to self reflect are amazing. I stand in awe.

I saw the Boy and the Heron today. I thought the pacing was off and it lacked the light-heartedness and general levity in a lot of Miyazakiā€™s previous works. It was good, but not great.

Spirited Away is amazing and one of the best films Iā€™ve ever seen.
