As someone who was born in South America, it still kind of bothers me when people calls the US America, as if it was the only country in the whole continent :/
In this case I also thought he meant South America at first, but it’s pretty obvious that he means the USdeleted by creator
I know, it’s more a subconscious thing. Also the fact that for whatever reason in many countries of south america we consider north and south america a single continent, so America would generally refer to the whole continent.
