Clearly the fall of the Soviet Union was a catastrophe for mankind. I made this post because of the all the lies spread (lack of knowledge) about Post-Stalin U.S.S.R. The average Soviet citizen found the Brezhnev era the best as it was the only era where the U.S.S.R. got a brief reprieve from constant war. The peace brought prosperity to the people. Yet you will never hear this from the people who dismiss everything that came after Stalin as ‘revisionist’. These same people tend to also dismiss China (everything after Mao) as it exists today, despite it being the foremost Socialist Superpower, taking that position since the collapse of the U.S.S.R. and upholding the banner in its wake.
