What I believe I know is that the reason why Norway is a liberal-democratic monarchy is basically because we industrialized comparatively late. That is, Norway was a highly agrarian society, where the organization of farmers has historically played a major role in the nation’s political history and tradition in general.

I found this article from Tjen Folket that goes fairly in-depth on the history, role, context and class character of our Center Party, which is currently governing alongside Labor. But if anybody has any alternative perspectives, or anything to add, then I’d love to hear it.
