Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) suggested Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has some sort of financial influence over former President Trump.
In an interview with MSNBCās āInside with Jen Psaki,ā Pelosi said Putin is the ārichest person in the worldā and has āstiff competitionā to being named the most evil person in the world.
Pelosi asked āwhat does he have on Donald Trump that heād have to constantly be catering to Putin?ā
Her comments came just after Trump doubled down on his criticism of NATO and said he would encourage Russia to attack U.S. allies who fail to reach the allianceās defense spending goals. Trump has also declined to criticize Putin for the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in a Russian prison last week.
But the source is a person who has expertise being a major government figure for decades. You donāt have to like her or agree with her but her stock trading has zero impact on whether or not she is right about Putinās financial influence over Trump.

The campaign was fined for incorrectly reporting their partial funding of opposition research as ālegal services.ā That is 100% unrelated to how much of that opposition research was true.
And it doesnāt matter whether I trust Pelosi or Hillary Clinton more, they arenāt disagreeing with each other so they can both be right or wrong independent of each other.
