Yeah it’s pretty intimidating but at least the characters are good

Oh yeah that one’s also on my “don’t like” list. It’s weirdly paced and relies too much on gore imo.
Oh and if you like kph 100% check out Acephale
I absolutely IMPLORE you to check out The Silt Verses, David Ward is a great author and both the verses and eskew are excellent pieces of fiction
Oh yeah I’m all caught up on that! Pretty good, compared to TMA s1 I’d say it’s more eventful tbh, but the “statements” haven’t been quite as gripping I agree.
Legend is a personal favorite
I read Left Right Game on nosleep when it first came out so it’s not on the list. It’s good though! It clears my “thriller is ok if it’s creepy at the start and has strong writing”-bar
KPH and Acephale are both anthology pods, so stories are very loosely connected at most, but mostly entirely independent. KPH is very famous, Sorin Narnia is probably this generation’s best horror writer imo. Acephale takes a few eps to really hit its stride but once it does it’s just nonstop bangers. They’re both very much more on the audiobook side of the podcast spectrum, and are both really slow burn horror, all about the vibes and sense of place.
Thank you for replying!
