Not tourist per se, but I live next to a large state university, and it’s either the college kids themselves or their families doing the stupid shit. It’s very wooded in my area while still being “suburbany”, so we get those people admiring the foliage in the fall.
In the winter when it snows, for a lot of the students and their families it’s their first time driving in it and it shows. I suppose I can cut them some slack for that though if they’ve never had to drive in it.
Anyway, it’s just mainly oblivious drivers, that are either attempting to find their way around so they drive extra slow or stop suddenly in the middle of the road, or the go ripping through the neighborhood because of the traffic on the main roads. Like, come on, there are kids playing and such, you can go 50mph through the neighborhoods around here with the number of kids playing. I’ve proposed multiple times for speed bumps in the neighborhoods around the university, but the council says “it will impede the flow of traffic” ?!? That’s the fucking point, morons! Ugh.
Of course, I didn’t mean any disrespect or to suggest you thought that way yourself. ❤️
The verse you are thinking of is from the New Testament, Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”
Edit: While also not a biblical scholar, I don’t think this verse is condemning what the good Reverend is doing here, rather the overly pompous and egregious prayers and acts that some “christians” feel like they have to do to gather as much attention to themselves as possible. Case in point; any time I would go out to a restaurant with my parents, they would make a big show of bowing their heads and praying loudly over their food. Things we didn’t do at home growing up.
Did the pope’s couch even say thank you??
Me to the US government: Sure Jan…
Hopefully Wayland will work with my GTX 1050… (please)
pokes sun come on… do something…
That’s fair. And when people don’t want to put in any effort and “just want it to work” right out of the box, that opens the door for corporations to take advantage. Although I understand the desire to just “have it work”.
IoT held such promise back when it was first talked about. It’s disappointing that once again, capitalism ruined it, like everything else it touches.
“Yeah boss, I checked the spelling, I ran it through ChatGPT.”
Do you recall if it was PC or one of the game systems from the time?
Edit: Never mind, did some googling lol. PC, Game boy and Game boy color were the systems jt was released on. 🏴☠️
Trump kinda has a Lloyd Bridges look going on, on that front cover.
I didn’t notice the legs at first, and given the reflection in the water, I though it was just hovering there, like some sort of swanicopter.
Sumsung: Check out this cool new shit OneUI 7 does! Also Samsung: We’ve halted OneUI 7 rollout for the foreseeable future.

Sign me up, I have a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Systems Engineering. Not an immigrant though, unless you go back a couple hundred years, but I’ll gladly leave given the state of things.
Thirded. Triced? Anyway, I haven’t gamed in front of a TV or monitor in almost a decade. All of it has been handheld (either 3DS early in those 10 years, or now with either phone or a Retro gaming device of some sort, or a switch, I dont have a steamdeck).
And I haven’t had a long gaming session in almost that same time frame. Games that I can pick up and play for 10s of minutes before I have to go be an adult again are the ones that get played the most.
