Can’t figure out if this is a joke, or if Memmy can’t figure out timestamps.
Can’t figure out if this is a joke, or if Memmy can’t figure out timestamps.
This is simultaneously amazing and confusing.
I posted the above from mastodon, and this from my lemmy account. But damn, if I don’t need to have both…
I hadn’t heard of this translation. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll have to check it out!
The first step is admitting the problem.
I don’t have an answer for you, but I am interested in what others may suggest!
Ryan Holliday is a good way to dip your toe into Stoicism. I’ve found that he tends to regurgitate the same handful of quotes, though, and never seems to get deep into the philosophy.
He quotes Book 5.1 quite often, for example. It’s great motivation, sure. But it makes Holliday feel more like a motivational speaker than a teacher of Stoicism.
Party pooper. 😄

Ope! Forgot to introduce myself.

4-1-2-1-2 is a formation I haven’t seen before. Though I’m rather new to the game.
Without seeing the game, I’m happy we were able to pull out a win, despite being down some of our key players, and on the heels of a rough mid-week loss. Adeniran, to be honest, is a name I wasn’t even familiar with prior to this game. Maybe our bench is deeper than I thought. I’d still like to have Klauss and Lowen back, though.
I’m sad to say I fell asleep early last night and missed this entire match. 9:30 on a Saturday night? I’m in my mid-40s. I drink my Ovaltine, take out my dentures, and am in bed by 9.
Well that was disappointing. I’m questioning the depth of our bench.
Parker is good in the backfield, but Lowen’s absence is palpable.
Yeah, I’m an idiot and got my two teams mixed up. I meant Klauss. Doh!
Same here. Here’s hoping we can get something going here.
Darn nice community we’ve got over there.
Fair points on the app. I do hope you enjoy the newsletters though.
