Maybe the problem is people don’t want to vote for lite-republicans, they want people that will actually try to inprove their lives. Democrats ahould jave spent the last 8 years talking about how they are going to make things better, not just hoping people will vote for them over fascists

Normal people don’t vote in primaries. Only the party faithful do, especially when the big ticket nominee is all but decided.
So first, just in case what was that other candidate’s platform? And second, copious amounts of donor money is my bet. Or just progressives not voting in primaries, as usual.
