I was following you up until the wealthy don’t control DNC…. Do we live in the same timeline?

Also, Obama is a good orator, and he had a good message, but his actual policies were nothing even remotely close to FDR, FYI…. Never trust a libertarian

Do we live in the same timeline?

We do, it’s just the wealthy aren’t letting their employees talk about the good stuff. Which is why PBS and NPR are important:

      Ken Martin (DNC chair):

Well, first, it was a brilliant campaign. And there’s a lot of lessons.

One is, he campaigned for something. And this is a critical piece. We can’t just be in a perpetual state of resisting Donald Trump. Of course, we have to resist Donald Trump. There’s no doubt about it for all the reasons we just talked about. But we also have to give people a sense of what we’re for, what the Democratic Party is fighting for, and what we would do if they put us back in power.

And that’s really critical. And I think that’s one of the lessons from Mamdani’s campaign, is that he focused on affordability. He focused on a message that was resonant with voters, and he campaigned for something, not against other people or against other things. He campaigned on a vision of how he was going to make New York City a better place to live.

I think that’s one of the lessons. The other lessons, of course, is the tactics he used to get his message out, both a very aggressive in-person campaigning, meeting voters where they’re at, and then also in those digital spaces, using very creative messaging to cut through the noise and to get to voters in an inexpensive but authentic way.

There’s a lot to learn from that campaign, and I’m excited to learn more.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m more critical of Obama than most.

      But his 08 campaign?

That’s what people voted for, he got re-election in 2012, but lost a lot of those red states, because he didn’t keep his promises from 08.

So when talking about what kind of campaign people want, we can’t factor in how Obama was a fucking liar.

We have to factor in the Obama con, otherwise we are going to continue to get folks like the senator from Arizona and the rep who had a stroke…. Folks who say one thing and then turn around and do something completely different once in office… like Obama

Sorry I am having a brain fart and can’t remember their names the senator was a woman her name begins with an s she may be from Maine she kept blocking Biden’s agenda with manchen from West Virginia…. Although as much of a fucker as manchen is his base probably liked his decisions

Kirsten sinema? Ugh… I can’t remember her name sorry

We have to factor in the Obama con

Not when talking about the 08 campaign. Because regardless of follow thru thru it showed that was the type of campaign people would vote for.

2012 showed that moderate compromise on the 08 platform resulted in a decrease of votes.

Obviously I agree that a president who ran a campaign like 08, and then actually followed thru would be better.

You can ignore history I guess… but yes, progressive messaging does attract supermajorities of voters from both sides of the aisle… but I personally refuse to continue voting for neoliberals or politicians who receive aipac bribes

All I ask is people vote in the Dem primary.

Lots of money is going to be spent convincing people not to, and the ground work has already started.
