They’re just, you know, idiots that don’t even know what those are, being led by fascists who know very well what part of American history they want back, and it’s not kicking Nazi ass under the New Deal.
Well, maybe they like the racial discrimination in welfare programs part.
So they’re not actually doing it. The group isn’t doing the thing which you think defines that group.
No alien imposed fascism upon these people. They chose fascism. They are fascists. And that extreme form of conservative ideology is never about bringing anything back - that’s just the lie they tell, because it works. They plan transformative violence for unprecedented American dictatorship, and they just say it’ll be like the past, somehow.
No dictionary on Earth is going to tell you that conservatives worldwide stopped being conservatives when - for some reason! - they overwhelmingly identified with fascists rising from among their ranks.
And if it did it would still prove you wrong, because apparently it defines fascism as whatever America was already doing. I guess they’re duty-bound to conserve that, because that’s totally how labels work. Like how leftists are against rights, and the Republican party is aligned with Wolfe Tone.

Conservatism is a relative judgement based on politically acceptable rhetoric. Fascism is not.
