Former president repeats false claims that immigrants in Ohio were eating pets
Donald Trumpās false claim that immigrants inĀ OhioĀ are abducting pets and eating themĀ during Tuesdayās presidential debateĀ was quickly slapped down by ABC News moderator David Muir.
WhileĀ on the debate stage in Philadelphia, the former president asserted thatĀ Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio were āeating dogsāĀ and āeating the catsā while pushing his anti-immigration policies.
āWhat they have done to our country by allowing these millions and millions of people to come into our country and look at whatās happening to the towns all over the United States,ā the former president said.
āIn Springfield, theyāre eating the dogs. The people that came in. Theyāre eating the cats. Theyāre eating ā theyāre eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is whatās happening in our country, and itās a shame,ā the former president claimed.
As he spoke, Harris looked in disbelief at the former president before laughing.
At first I was annoyed that the moderators kept letting him speak out of turn.
Then, when he was just putting foot in mouth again and again, I couldnāt wait for him to talk again.
Never prevent your enemies from making a mistake.
Reminded me of Obamaās classic āplease proceed, governorā in the Romney debate.
