This is a disgusting celebration of a terrorist attack.

I’m sure you people will have a different perspective when a Ukrainian kid has her face blown off by an exploding russian cell phone.

Not recognizing the victim’s humanity here is a sickness.

Post is talking about Hezbollah veterans, not injured children. Shut the fuck up. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. Their balls exploding is top notch meme material and we’re going to shitpost about it.

        Bruh.

This was very similar to the act of using butterfly mines. Yes, Hezbollah were the ones who ordered them, but you cannot be certain that they were going to stay in hezbollah’s hands. There are examples of these things going off in public places or in hospitals. This wasn’t some crazy precision strike, this was just terrorism. They could have done things to reduce collateral, like detonating them at night so they blow up in people’s homes instead of at a store, but instead it seems like they made decisions that would increase collateral (like detonating the bombs during the day, when they could blow up at a store).

Hell, imagine if one of those things had been on a plane? The blasts were big enough that it could have almost certainly punched a hole through a plane’s hull if someone was sitting in a window seat.

If Israel had, I dunno, made a cellphone with a bullet in the speaker which got triggered when you received a call from known Hezbollah leaders, then I’d be more supportive of it. But planting bombs in electronics that could make their way out of hezbollah’s hands and into civilian hands is a big no-no to me. And yes, pagers could make it into civilian hands, doctors still widely use them in many places including the US. I personally don’t think it seems outside the realm of possibility that hezbollah might hand out extra pagers to hospitals for the purpose of creating a positive image with locals. Same reason why drug lords usually try to keep their territories clean and invest in local projects.

Edit: it’s not laughing about Hezbollah getting fucked that makes me uncomfortable; by all means, fuck 'em, laugh it up. It’s how they got fucked that makes me uncomfortable. That’s why I’m not very into the idea of celebrating it.

Nah you can shut the fuck up though because you are celebrating a terrorist attack on civilians.

All resistance forces are labeled as terrorists, you should know this by now.

You’re no different than the Ruzzian useful idiot, who believes that Ukrainian forces are terrorists, and posts laughing memes as Ukrainian schoolchildren die.

Some people are on the side of Ukraine because of our shared humanity and yearning for justice. Others, like you, are disgusting war spectators.

Hezbollah originally formed to fight the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. At that time they could have been considered a resistance group. That has not been relevant for two decades.

The present-day Hezbollah is not a resistance group, it is a political and military organization, a significant power in the Lebanese government, and a proxy arm of the Iranian military.

Right the resistance forces that generally like to resist more by blowing up civilians than soldiers.

As for the 2nd part, my man this is noncredible defense, it is literally the raison d’être to laugh about weird shit that is happening in armed conflicts. It is partly a coping mechanism and partly ridicule.

As for laughing at civilian casualties, you’ve inferred that into the meme, it was bot even hinted at.

Every terrorist sympathizer tries to use the other side’s crimes in an attempt to justify their own brutal, inhumane actions. You are no exception.

You can just point to their decades of indiscriminate rocket attacks on Israel, bro, you don’t need the generic label they’re slapping around.

Cant take the heat, don’t light a fuse.

And you can point to decades of Israeli provocations, attacks, and invasions.

The rocket attacks were justified by pointing to the Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon in 1978.

If Israel can’t take a few rocket attacks, then they shouldnt have lit the invasion fuse.

But to be clear, I dont believe any of this is a valid justification. The logic of both sides is the logic of terrorist sympathizers justifying their war crimes.

Please stop sympathizing for Israeli terror.

You’re lecturing like it’s a Ted Talk and this is your one chance for glory, but this is a shitposting community. Shitposting means dark-gray-ish humor from and for people who already know the historical context of the memes and cartoons. This is not a freshman survey on the history of the 20th century Middle East, you’re just mentally masturbating.

The rocket attacks on Israel today are a couple of decades too late to use this justification.

The reason for the Israeli invasion into Lebanon was a series of attacks by organized militants on Israel from Lebanese territory.

So we’re agreed that, as far as reciprocity goes, it sucks to suck and both the state of Israel and Hezbollah aren’t particularly sympathetic victims?

                  Great! Let them fight.
