In my high school government class our learning about the lawmaking process I think was just that song and then a dead simple quiz on it. But now that I think about it, I did have mono at the time, so I missed a lot of classes. But no, our education in politics was very underwhelming. And just pretend Marx and friends didn’t exist because we sure didn’t learn about them despite the strong opinions we had about their theories.

He was literally organizing an extremely cringe lib sing along to campaign for Holocaust Harris that he called “Doing the Harris Waltz” and there’s a small part of me that wishes I had been nice to him for a minute just to get a copy of the sheet notes with lyrics he handed out to his small group (the boomer libs were less than half of the size of our local weekly protest against the genocide) to post here for everyone to point and laugh at
