I think Ive gotten sick twice in the last 2 years. One seemed like it could’ve been covid but the test failed so technically I’m still covid free 🎉, but the other was just because I went out without proper warm clothes on a rainy night and caught a cold.

Symptoms that are severe enough to make you change your behavior are rarely present for more than 24-48 hours for the common cold. However, mild malaise, fatigue, aches, and a cough often persist well outside of that period.

still sick right now. it’s been three weeks.

      not even covid either.

been off my antibiotics for about one week . at this point.

I swear these new “colds/flus” are either shady government developed superbugs that lost containment, or shady pharmaceutical superbugs introduced to the public to increase profits.

My samsung phone regularly wakes to people talking in videos on my computer. They don’t even say anything that sounds to me like hey google or Bixby. THEN it never seems to want to work when I try to use it.

There are tips and tricks to help ease the symptoms.

For example, if you eat out out some gingers, you’ll die happy.

I am so confused by this comment, and further confused as to all the upvotes.

There is clearly an inside joke that I’m not getting, or people are really hot for gingers.

Guilty as charged, I’d for sure eat out a Ginger right now if there’s a chance she’ll break my fever, hell even if she can’t!

Ginger tea is actually amazing when you have a cold. Especially if you make it with fresh ginger. Burns away all your snot and some of the pain in my experience.

I’m just gonna share this here and leave it up to people as to whether not to believe me, but when I moved to Canada I had gotten a really bad cold. An old lady I worked with asked me if I had ever taken Echenacia. Hadn’t heard of it. She said to start taking it at the first sign of cold symptoms and continue 3x daily like an antibiotic until the symptoms have cleared. No joke, every cold I’ve had since then (2017) has only lasted 4 days or less, and the symptoms are very manageable and mild.

It’s honestly the single most effective supplement I’ve ever entertained, and it’s relatively inexpensive to pick up in any pharmacy or supplement aisle.

Hmm would love if this was true, but checking on Google scholar it looks like most studies say using this as a treatment for the cold doesn’t conclusively show any link to a shorter duration of sickness, etc.

Placebos are so effective, we’ve just started selling them explicitly (Zeebo). If it’s cheap and doesn’t have any negative effects, I don’t care if it’s a placebo or more; it works.

It’s wild if it is purely placebo, because I’ve given so many anecdotal cure supplements an honest shot throughout my life, and have ruled every last one of them out as either ineffective, or total horseshit. But the results I experience (as well as my wife, who is officially onboard with Echenacia now) are astounding.

Getting sick used to be a nightmare for me. I would always end up with a horrible sore throat and sinus infection that would inevitably go to my lungs and/or ears, and it would persist up to two weeks. Now I just shrug it off in a few days.

Am I not supposed to continue smashing cones? Because cold, flu, covid… has always been improved in me with an enormous intake of THC.

I always go for tylenol complete, the nighttime ones knocks you out at night, and the daytime ones make you feel like a god who can do anything. This is not a paid advertisement but if you’re listening Tylenol, then it could be!
