Things I learned from my last visit to Applebee’s:

  1. White people are in the minority as far as customers go anyway
  2. People will order online, then get there and stand around waiting for their food for long periods of time. Sometimes they sit at the bar and get a drink while they wait.
  3. People order fruity drinks in large quantities which puts stress on the single bartender working at the time. Example drink: “The Tipsy Cuban”
  4. The bartender does one thing at a time. No multitasking. To be fair, I wouldn’t rush around if I worked at Applebee’s either.
  5. There are either 1 or 2 people at a table, or a large family with 5+ people. Not really any in-between.

I sat at the bar, ordered pepsi and a quesadilla burger which was microwaved to 🤌 perfection 🤌, and left a >50% tip.

Can a person say they truly lived if they haven’t been 86’d from Applebee’s?

Applebee’s is a real guilty pleasure for me and my wife. Our early 20s dates were full of visits there. 1/2 price apps after 9pm!

These days we go maybe once every couple years.

Im pretty sure that Applebees advertises on delivery apps as like 1-2 other shell ‘restaurants’, they might be picking up orders from them

Lol I haven’t been to Applebee’s in years (or any restaurant, really) but it seems like not much has changed 😂 I loved going there for the half priced apps after 9pm.

Growing up I loved these types of chain restaurants like the trappings of Applebee’s, Outback, Chilis, Olive Garden, et al. My dad would say “no we’re not eating there tonight, it’s generic.” And I would get so frustrated by the word generic because from my point of view, Applebee’s was the real deal branded experience. I still prefer these kinds of restaurants honestly, forget your artisan fiber menu with papyrus font.
