Legacy?
This is his and the parties legacy. They made this. it’s a direct result of how first the governed, and then campaigned.
Exactly. His legacy is not doing what he promised, not being that bridge to the next generation. Only giving up his lust for being president when it was too late.
Its beyond the scope of my comprehension, how you can call Trump a fascist one week, and then congratulate him winning the next.
same with harris congratulating him. they just can’t get over that “we have to be better than them”.
This has the right idea, but they still would be better even if they didn’t. Maybe even more better.
It’s not the right idea. Decorum is just another token of the privileged to distinguish those that make the decisions from those that feel the consequences. Why get incensed at the dismantling of people’s freedoms when you can afford to insulate yourself from any hardship?
Yeah, they could conduct a peaceful transfer of power without the congratulations. They would be ruthlessly mocked for being sore losers, but they would be internally consistent at least.
Who cares at this point, they’re already ruthlessly mocked, and it’s not like they lost a bet, they’re handing the keys to the nation over to a massive fire that plans on destroying the country for monetary gain. Fuck em.
It’s easier when you’re a fascist that only relinquished power when the mob was at the door.

Blaming Biden for Trump being elected is some next level dipshit stuff
Is it? He single handedly tanked the opportunity to find a strong Democrat candidate through a primary. After being forced out he repeatedly made comments that saddled Harris with his baggage.
He’s not 100% to blame, but no one is. He is probably about 30-40% of the problem though.
I think the voters who voted for Trump are probably at least 90% to blame for Trump being elected by voters into office?
Sure, but Biden/Harris hemmorrhaged about 15,000,000 voters between 2020 and 2024 due to lacking messaging that appealed to the electorate. Turns out that “this guy is a fascist but also we want to do bipartisanship with his party” doesn’t really appeal to people.
Turnout was pretty low. Democratic voters stayed home. Wonder why?
And I think staying home was stupid. But at the end of the day, i actually don’t care much about Harris losing…Trump winning is what I’m upset with. And sure, there are strategic and comms failings by the Harris campaign that made room for they eventuality, but fundamentally the metastasized cancer is personified by the large number of people who specifically elected this piece of shit. I refuse to absolve voters of culpability for their fucking votes and that’s where the ultimate responsibility lies.
Easily 60%
Biden is trying to skate on his “Oh I’m an old grandpa looking figure, look at my creepy-ass smile.”
As though people will forget how his actions (and inactions) curated the requirements for our current scenario. Including giving Harris a nearly impossible task, which she also managed to flub as hard as possible while lighting a BILLION dollars on fire.
I’d hesitate to give him that much blame, as Harris could have ran a campaign that more aggressively separated herself from the administration, or one that campaigned for things instead of against Trump. She deserves an equal or greater amount of the blame.
If you don’t see the direct connection between how Biden has governed and how that set up Trump to win, I don’t know that you can be helped.
Biden undermined democracy by preventing a proper primary from taking place. The voters never got to nominate a candidate, and the establishment thrust a candidate on them that had already been rejected in a previous primary. That’s the establishment’s fault, and Biden if the face of the Democratic establishment.
Biden had a very weak presence his entire presidency. On occasion I think he actually did okay things, but you almost never heard about them because he did such a bad job of bragging about it. And the same is true for Harris.
Obviously there are many reasons why people win and lose presidential elections, so you don’t get to blame one person for 150 million votes or whatever it was. But if you were choosing people to put at the top of the list of who made a significant difference, I think you would say that Donald Trump and Joe Biden are way up there.
ml users are almost never worth engaging.
what about muslims, black or even poor white people ? are they worth engaging to you ?
or anyone else not sipping wine while philosophical-jerking off the way of cronies like pelosi, biden & harris.
Wake up babe, new “this is fine” just dropped
I guess reality is stranger than fiction.
Thanks, I hate it.

Biden could always have him [official business]ed.
Act*
And how wild would that be? Biden shows up, shakes Trump’s hand, then garrotes him. What happens next?
What happens next?
HUGE sigh of relief from the entire planet.
Only if he goes for a double kill.
I don’t know that I’d like President Johnson but I know he can’t be worse that President Vance
I just thought the headline by the guardian and the photo they chose of smiling Biden was hilarious. It made me LOL. Could’ve been an onion headline?
Be a shame if someone accidentally dropped some polonium in trump’s big Mac.

His legacy? Try his country.
Indeed. No one gives a flying fuck about any politician’s “legacy”. How about some concern for the future of this country, FFS.
Democrats: “we are the only thing standing against fascism”
Reality: *democrats standing with fascism*
Pushes glasses Well, actually, they’re sitting. Nay, maybe even laying??? IN BED?!? HOLDING HANDS!!! >:0 /s
Good headline 😀
You have one party led by a Nazi, you have a Nazi party.
If you have one party led by a Nazi, and the other party invites and allows “peaceful” talks, you have two Nazi parties.
Trump is a Nazi, acting like you’re just doing your job of transition of power means you’re handing the keys to the Nazis.
‘If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.’ There’s a real Christian in this picture.
at this point, I’m guessing he must be glad his legacy in the middle east will be fulfilled.
is that bismarck? look a lot like it.
I just don’t see any reason he should have had the fireside chat. It’s not like he needs to call Trump names on the way out the door, but to pretend that there’s any kind of respect from Trump to the Democrats, that’s just more of the same b******* that got the Democrats here in the first place. The fact is that Donnie and his hooligans don’t give a damn about human decency.
Quality article. What a headline. Spicy callouts. Great contrasting.
Joe Biden Circa 2024: “I don’t wanna give up this beautiful office chair in this weird oval shaped office yet, gimme 4 more years to sit on this chair… hmm what was my name again? welp, cant remember… but this chair is so nice!”
