Westoids have very short attention spans. Whatever their media points at, they look at and ignore/forget everything else.

Remember all the climate protests in 2019? Remember how everyone was saying that the world would end unless we radically changed the way we live? Hearing any word on that now?

Remember when COVID-19 began and everyone was pushing to stay indoors? Remember when George Floyd was killed and all this “stay indoors” stuff was immediately forgotten about?

Remember how Syria is still at war?

Yeah, nobody in our neck of the woods has the most… developed memory capacity, to put it mildly.

This. I wanted to add my point, but you summed it up nicely. It is oversaturation of media, it plays on key biases of the human brain. The ones off the top of my head relevant here are confirmation bias, attentional bias, false consensus effect, in-group bias and the bias blind spot.

I think it’s a good point because the Westoids were losing their shit about the Uyghurs despite the ridiculousness of it all. There are white Europeans in trouble at the moment though so those Muslims will have to wait.

The libs focus on what they’re told to focus on. It’s just that simple. In a few years (if we’re not all dry and crispy) when the truth is out about Ukraine people will swear they never believed it at the same time that they’re telling you the Chinese are planning to blow up the moon.

I don’t think it’s just because of Ukraine. At this point it is pretty obvious that there isn’t a Uyghur Genocide. I mean it’s supposed to have been going on for what, 6 years now? And yet clearly the population still exists, and is going about their ordinary lives, in fact they’re more visible now than before since they’ve become deradicalised. Not to mention that there was never a massive refugee crisis or other obvious signs, while the only evidence we have is the same couple of prison photos being used over and over again. To be brutally honest, if China wanted to kill 12 million people they’d do it in about 6 months.

I’ve seen it begin to be called a cultural genocide more and more, (which is bullshit) because its so obvious that there hasn’t been a real genocide. It was an attempt to destablise China, fund a terrorist movement in Xinjiang, and get the world to condemn and stop trading with China, but it didn’t work and it’s not possible to keep the lie going forever. They’ll just quietly forget about it and pretend they never said it.
