I didn’t want to disappoint him as he’d put his faith in me but I ended up missing all my morning meetings because it took so damn long to set up my computer system.

I woke up sweating and panicking.

    I legit had a dream that I was like in the revived Russian SSR, but gorby was there for some reason (IDK he may have been based in this dream). It had the RSSR flag and everything. I was part of trade meeting with like poland I think, but I woke up and realized I wasn’t a member of the Russian Communist Party and the Soviet Union was long gone.

    I was legit depressed

    I had a neat dream about these fungi-based space aliens that came to earth curious about our methane signatures since that matched their home world. They looked sort of like bright multipolar neurons, no obvious nucleus, but they could move around. I guess they figured out about climate change and how that wasn’t a healthy state for our planet and showed us a neat renewable energy source using some sort of fungus from their world (I guess there were lots of interesting fungi there).

        If that actually did happen, America would probably nuke the aliens spaceship or offer them the organs of third-world children as a “peace tribute”. And we’ll probably die because humans won’t have any immunity to alien bacteria. Life is harsh sometimes

        The way first contact went was so smooth too, we were so confused at first since their spacecraft was a giant fungal spore modded for space travel and everything inside was fungal-derived. Took a minute for both sides to realize they were dealing with life they’d encountered in some amounts, but not as entire peoples.

    I don’t usually have political dreams, but a while back I had a dream some Nazi group was taking over the country. I decided the best way for me to help the resistance was to infiltrate the ranks of the group and gather intel… despite not even being a part of the resistance movement and my only knowledge of covert ops being from playing 2 Metal Gear games. I remember walking into their compound and seeing their runes and racist slogans everywhere, and the people there looked more like a biker gang than a paramilitary organization, strangely enough. I remember thinking to myself that I was in too deep, knowing they’d probably torture me to death if they found me out. I remember leaving and sharing my fears with some loved ones and then I woke up. Honestly, probably the most frightening dream I’ve had in a while.

    I also had a dream once where I was being chased by a giant hamburger that bit me in half when it caught up with me. Just goes to show the diversity of my dreams. 🙃

      Okay thats pretty scary but yes absolutely, dreams are amazing but also like wtf come on guys let me have a normal one.

        Haha, yeah. I guess I figured if I was going to die or go on the run that now would be as good a time as any to tell my family I’m a communist.

        Edit: Also just remembered a dream I had where I went on vacation to the DPRK and being really impressed with all the amenities.

          OMG right I’m not even kidding I’ve had a dream where I visited the DPRK and I’m scared of flying so my friends had to drug me to get me on a plane and we got there and their shopping centre was just like insert shopping centre I live near and I was like “omg a primark” and I went in the browse their wares and bought a nice outfit but the tag rang the buzzer so I had to do the whole “oh no I have the receipt though” and it was fine and I had a nice laugh with the shop workers and it was so nice but I couldn’t face flying home (cos scared of flying) so I was like “guess I live in the DPRK now” and that is my other dream that is similar to yours. Sorry for going on a long ramble.

      I once had a dream that I infiltrated a group of proud boys. I joined them on their way to beat up some fast food workers and had to witness it or else blow my cover. I was eventually found out and they tied me to a rope and dangled me over a pool of boiling water and laughed. Eventually they dunked me into the water and the next thing was on the edge of the pool and was being helped by one of the fast food workers from earlier in the dream. I woke up shortly after that.

        When I started my meds I went from having nightmares to having bizarre dreams. Super fucking weird dreams. I preferred the nightmares cause there was no way to explain how hard it was to fall asleep when I knew some weird shit would happen.

    Some weeks ago (I think) I dreamt I was attending classes until VOC broke in to “deradicalize” me by telling the tale of how Enver Hoxha personally kidnapped Adam Smith (idk why) and how Smith had to ride a helicopter with the help of Captain Ahab (the guy who fought a whale iirc) in order to escape

    I’ve had some classic nightmares where I try to outrun a monstrous being in a dark house or I struggle in vain to escape an increasingly omnipresent force, but the worst ones that I’ve had, in terms of the long‐lasting effects that they’ve had on me, have been sexual in nature…I would rather not describe them in public, but you can DM me if you are interested.

      Yeah it’s the more intimate and personal ones that take time to process vs the wacky bs lol.

      Like for me it’s being powerless to defend myself in dreams spooks me and that takes me time to process when I wake up.

    I dream I was chosen as one of the potential human sacrifices and we had to play hide and seek. Whoever loses gets to die. I lost, so I was chased into the streets, running far, far away until I met Rei Ayanami. I beg her to save me but she said no, and then I was dragged by a small crowd screaming for help but all of the passerby did nothing and the last thing I remember was that I’m a dead body thrown into a dumpster. I had a lot of death dreams lately lol
